The so-called '24 heures du Mans' have been held near the French town of Le Mans since 1923. These 24-hour endurance races have always been the yearly testing point for car manufacturers from around the world to prove their level of development and the reliability of their vehicles. Special attention was paid to the race in the 1960's and 70's, when the winning streak of the Scuderia Ferrari was broken by legendary cars such as the Ford GT40 and Porsche 917K, piloted by equally legendary drivers such as Jacky Ickx and Henri Pescarolo. To this era we dedicate the STEINHART "Le Mans GT Heritage Chrono" in a limited edition of 111 pieces... Particularly noteworthy in this unusual tiempiece is not only the elaborate dial, which proudly bears the edition number similar to the starting number of a racecar, so that each STEINHART Le Mans GT Heritage is already unique at first glance, but also the engine - the watch is driven by the now very rare Valjoux 7765 manual winding movement, which was produced only from 1983 to 1998. The NOS Ebauches (not assembled new old stock) were cleaned prior to assembly and then carefully oiled, so that the movements are to be considered new despite the age of its components. Such a special wrist watch has earned a special bracelet accordingly, which was developed exclusively by Gunny Straps and was produced also in a limited edition for STEINHART. If you prefer to preserve this strap, there is still a second one included in the big wooden box, as well a**atching strap changing tools. Overall, a sensational package that will delight certainly not only motorsport fans and watch collectors.
